POLLUTION - A GLOBAL CHALLENGE

Our planet was here first, no doubt about that. When people started to populate its surface, nature faced a challenge when we started to exploit her intensively. Because in general economic growth is still our number one priority we are not only depleting all of our world's resources, at the same time we are producing enormous amounts of all kinds of waste and other organic residues at a fast pace, polluting our environment in the process. Until several decades ago the disastrous consequences of this priority were mainly limited to the wealthy, industrialized societies. But due to globalization nowadays even in the most distant corners of our world the pollution is clearly visible. Thus making it one of the global problems we are currently facing.

ABOUT US

Heritage Eco Solutions was born when the Dutch government decided to tighten environmental regulations. We started forging alliances and as a result we are currently working in close cooperation with tech-partners in different parts of the world such as the The Netherlands, USA, India and Germany. At the same time we are putting a great effort in establishing a worldwide distribution network.

Our initial focus was on providing affordable, emission free and self-sustaining waste processing solutions based on innovative plasmatic technologies. But meanwhile we have broadened our interest to other ecological solutions with regard to air, earth and water.

Our experienced, dedicated and multi skilled team is continuously looking for new eco-driven technologies with the objective to make them available to people and organizations all over the world, helping them to cope with the ecological problems they are facing.

GREEN SOLUTIONS

We aim to provide solutions that will help eliminating the ecological problems we are facing due to economic growth and globalization.

Emission free solutions that process our solid waste and harmfull organic residues without polluting the environment and harming its people living in it.

Solutions that generate green energy that can be stored in equally eco friendly storage systems.

Solutions that re-use materials otherwise just being dumped, burned or buried, thus contributing to the circular economy.

And more to come....with the goal of leaving a healthy planet to future generations.

OUR PARTNERS

We wouldn't be able to do what we do without our tech and channel partners.

SELF SUSTAINABLE CONVERTING SOLID WASTE INTO ENERGY, RENEWABLE PRODUCTS AND CLEAN AIR

Waste is not only an environmental problem, in general it is considered to be an economic loss also. However, the WASTEGONE Eco Decomposition System - developed by our tech-partner International Green Air Engineering -  does not only decompose a wide variety of dry solid waste at a ratio of 1/200 - 1/300 times the input volume. It also produces considerable amounts of free green electricity and heat as well a limited amount of renewable byproducts. Due to the applied innovative  'Oxy-Ion Magnetic Decomposition'  technology it's also self sustaining, running on atmospheric air (oxygen) only instead of electricity or fossil fuel. And on top of that it only emits clean, non toxic air!

RENEWABLE OUTPUT

By applying the innovative but proven technology the WASTEGONE produces by-products that are 100% renewable. When processing Municipal (mixed) Sollid Waste the resulting eco friendly ash can be used as an ingredient of concrete, tiles and bricks. And mixed with water the ash can be used for improving soil conditions. In case of non mixed solid waste containing a substantial amount of polymer products/plastics, the WASTEGONE also produces bio-sludge that can be processed into bio fuel/oil.

The considerable amount of free green energy generated by the WASTEGONE can be used to realize energy savings or can be distributed to provide, for example, residential areas with off grid electricity and heat.

ECONOMIC, EASE OF OPERATION & RELOCATABLE

The WASTEGONE is not only available in a wide range of waste processing capacities, the maintenance costs are minimal and it doesn't require highly skilled operators. This solution is therefore affordable to smaller organizations with limited budgets and human resources. To meet an increasing processing demand the capacity can be up scaled easily by putting more units in line. And due to its compact design the WASTEGONE can be relocated easily.

PRODUCT RANGE

The PLC operated WASTEGONE comes in a range of models. Our smallest model, the WG5T is capable of processing 5 tons of solid waste per 24 hours. The capacity increases with the WG10T, 20T, 40T, 60T, 80T and the 100T. Processing MSW, the WG5T generates max 60 kW of green electricity and 262 kJ of captured heat per hour.  The 100T however delivers max 1,2 mW and 5.230 kJ per hour!

SUPERIOR TO INCINERATION AND OTHER WASTE TO ENERGY ALTERNATIVES

The WASTEGONE offers numerous advantages over incinerators, pyrolysis plants and other Waste to Energy alternatives. We invite you to check out our comprehensive comparison.

DECOMPOSABLE TYPES OF WASTE

WHAT GOES IN BUT DOESN'T COME OUT

HOW DOES THIS INNOVATIVE SOLUTION WORK?

The decomposition process is ignited by directing a small amount of heated atmospheric air (oxygen) through the strong magnetic field created by the WASTEGONE's own magnet cores in the oxygen starved decomposition chamber.

The heated oxygen absorbed by the magnetic field not only generates the required temperatures (200 – 1200°C), at the same time highly reactive, negatively charged oxygen ions are formed. The heat inside the chamber decomposes the waste while the highly oxidative oxygen eliminates the dioxins and other harmful compounds, which are a result of the decomposition process, by oxidation.

After passing through the smoke chamber the emission is then treated through 3 wet scrubbers to bring it within the norms as required by strict European and U.S. source emission regulations.

Did you know that your livestock represents a considerable energetic potential that's just waiting there to be capitalized on? A potential, existing of electricity and heat, representing such an economic value that you should not ignore it? Our SLURRYTOENERGY bio-digesting solution, developed by our tech partner Bert Energie, will unlock this potential for you. Although this patented and meanwhile worldwide proven technology is well capable of converting all kinds of bio waste into considerable amounts of green energy without the use of energy crops (silage, root crops), it’s especially suited to process any livestock slurry.

Bert's anaerobic (absence of free oxygen) digesters apply the patented 'Power of Nature' (PON) mixing technology, which is based on the principle of communicating vessels. The left schematic shows that the downforce created by the expanding biogas (B) volume in compartment V2 pushes the digestate high up in V1 due to the open valve in V1. By closing the valve in V1 and releasing the biogas in V2 the digestate will flow back into V2, thus restoring the balance (center schematic). The principle is then applied in a reversed order (right schematic), and so on. No other biogas system is using this continuous natural process as consequently as does Bert!

The Bert technology is designed to have minimal moving parts and to require minimal operations (15-30 minutes per day depending on number of digesters) and maintenance. All components are standardized. Consequently structural service and maintenance are straightforward and easy to learn.

Integration of Bert technology in the farm slurry management allows additional savings: fresh slurry is fed continuously from the barn into the pre-pit. From the pre-pit the slurry is automatically and regularly fed into the biodigester. After the digesting took place the digestate is either poured automatically into the storage lagoon or fed into the our optional digestate treatment system.

PRODUCT RANGE

The Bert product range not only offers conventional concrete build digesters coming in standardized tank sizes from 200-1500 m³ and equipped with the unique Bert technology. As of now we are proud to offer you as well the Bert Mobile series; same unique technology but as of now containerized for small scale farmers. A Bert Mobile becomes profitable as of 3 metric tons of slurry processed per day, whilst as of 9 tons of substrate per day conventional concrete build digesters can be more economic. Both products come with a CHP (Combined Heat and Power) unit, housed in a standard 20 feet container, that converses the biogas into free electricity and heat. The Bert kW/h output can be modified as per your requirements. This results in a winsome expenditure and attractive ROI. And with the optional DIGESTATE TREATMENT SYSTEM you get even more out of your slurry!

CONVENTIONAL FERMENTERS

We offer a range of  different sized digesters in combination with a corresponding  CHP (Combined Heat and Power) unit. The typical combinations are: 300 m³ /30 kW, 400 m³/40 kW, 500 m³/50 kW and 600 m³/75 kW. Other combinations are conceivable, depending on your substrate. The combinations marked with an X are the most frequently sold in Europe. In case of larger substrate volumes, e.g. 30.000 m³ of substrate per year, 2 concrete build digesters can be combined.
By now over 100 Bert concrete build digesters, equipped with the unique Bert technology, have been commissioned. If you would like to know how this technology will be beneficiary to your farm too please read the following reference projects: PIG SLURRY and COW MANURE. Or visit our PROJECTS page for an overview of plants commissioned.

BERT MOBILE SERIES

Bert Mobile is an industrial manufactured product using a limited number of standard parts only, resulting in savings on production costs. As a result of that there's already a Bert Mobile available for the price of a brand new tractor! But due to its simplicity there are more advantages; like ease of operation and maintenance, low maintenance costs and a quick and worry free installation and up-powering.

A major advantage of the Bert Mobile system is the ability to operate off grid, self sustainable generating sufficient electricity to run your farm and heat your barn or farm house.

This stand alone operation will result also in improved hygiene conditions and an effective disease control. And the odor free process leaves the environment unaffected.

CONTAINER VOLUME AND POWER OUTPUT COMBINATIONS

• Configurations existing of 4 or more containers are available upon request.

• All pre-pit technology and post-digester units can come containerized.

• The CHP/kW per hour output of all Bert conventional and mobile systems depends on the substrate processed.

• The CHP also produces an equal amount of heat. Depending on the local climate a small part of this free heat will be used to ensure a constant and optimal digesting temperature inside the bio-digester.

• Final design/finish and technical specifications are subject to local conditions like climate zone, type of slurry and availability of materials.

FAQ

What is a Bert Mobile (BM)?

Bert Mobile is an industrially manufactured biogas plant consisting of a 40 feet bio-digester (BD) and a 20 feet technical container (TC). It’s a biogas plant that will be delivered by truck and is ready for biogas production within 4-6 days.

What is a containerized biogas plant?

Containerized means that the BD as well as TC are standard size containers. All parts of the biogas plant come prefabricated and delivered in a container, so that on site installation is limited.

What are the advantages of a BM?
  • industrial manufacturing offers reduced prices
  • using standard components assures quality
  • the mobility of BM allows relocation if needed
  • a BM is a modular system and can be expanded or down sized if required
  • DB is heated and can operate also at -30°C
  • starting from 3 tons of biomass per day
  • all kinds of biomass can be used
  • choices of CHP are available
  • various solutions for the use of biogas: electricity, heating, enclosed area cooling, refrigeration, CNG, deep freezing, burning, etc.
  • production of the fertilizer as output
  • no smell
  • easy to operate and low operation and maintenance cost
  • large variety of additional options like: heat pump, H2S sensors, web-control, flair, etc.
What substrates can be processed with a BM?

All animal (cattle, pigs, chicken, etc.) slurry/manure, as well as slaughterhouse waste, water treatment plant sludge, all food waste from food factories. In fact nearly all biomass.

How many (BD) containers do I need?

The number of containers depends on the daily biomass available. With 3 tons of biomass  per day or 10 cows you can start with the smallest system and upscale later on if required.

How much power does my biomass contain?

The power that the biomass is containing varies a lot. Compare it with the food you eat. Eating a steak and spaghetti will fill up your stomach (digester) and gives you energy for a long duration. Eating a watery soup with just 1 carrot in it won’t give you much energy. Usually dry matter content (DM) and organic dry matter content (ODM) are the key analytical data we need in order to define the biogas producing capacity of a substrate. Fats and sugars are excellent for biogas production.

How do I feed the biomass into the digester?

Depending on the biomass we offer various methods to feed the biomass into the digester (BD) on an hourly basis. For successful biogas production it is important that the biomass is presented to the bacteria in very small (digestible) portions. Therefore, shredders or other devices will be used to prepare the biomass.

What comes out of the digester?

The output of the digester is a wonderful bio fertilizer that can replace commercial fertilizer. This product is not smelling and has proven it’s effectivity many times all over the world.

Does it smell?

The biogas process is an anaerobic one. That means there is no smell from the process. The output of the digester does not smell either. If there is smell, it comes from the biomass which is waiting to be processed. That part needs to be managed properly.

What size of CHP do I need?

The required CHP’s (Combined Heat and Power) capacity depends on the power of your biomass. Please inform us regarding the amount of biomass you have available per day and we can calculate for you the capacity needed.

How often do I feed the digester?

The digester ideally should be fed on an hourly and timely basis: that means 24 times per day x 365 days.

What makes BM special, compared to competitors?

Bert systems are always working with heated digesters and a substrate temperature of around 40°C. In consequence a BM produces more biogas than other systems and at a constant rate. The heat comes from the CHP engine or from a heat pump.

By 2050, global livestock production is expected to double—growing faster than any other agricultural sub-sector—with most of this increase taking place in the developing world. More and more, (intensive) livestock production is contributing to our environmental problems. The ever increasing (excess) manure volume leads to considerable level of harmful nitrogen and ammonia emissions. In some parts of the world this excess manure volume meanwhile has grown to such proportions that it has become an acute problem that requires an instant solution.

85%

SLURRY REDUCTION

The SLURRYTOWATER slurry treatment system is a circular and environmental friendly solution, that guarantees every livestock farmer a problem free processing of any type of animal manure. The system, housed in a standard 40 feet container, consists of a Reversed Osmosis (RO) installation and a polymer treatment unit and it can process up to 5m3 (at 120 Bar) per hour. The slurry treatment system comes with a small dewatering table to extract the effluent required for a problem free processing by the RO installation.

DRINKING OR GREY WATER

Depending on the local situation/demands the livestock farmer can choose between grey water output (±75% of slurry volume) or water that is safe to drink for all types of livestock. Choosing drinking water (±65% of slurry volume) not only will bring down drastic the consumption of tap or ground water it will result also in a larger volume of concentrated nutrients output (±20% versus ±10% of slurry volume). In case of national nitrogen issues/regulations the livestock farmer owns a true money saver, for this solution will save around 85% on manure disposing/processing costs by certified third parties.

TURNKEY COMMISSIONING, OPERATION & MAINTENANCE

The SLURRYTOWATER slurry treatment system arrives by standard truck. After a local crane has placed the 40 feet container at the predefined and prepared location, our team will then commission the object within 4-6 working days. The distribution of the installation inside the container is such that all relevant parts are easy to access. Once commissioned the treatment system requires only 15 minutes of your daily time and maintenance costs are low.

GUARANTEE & SERVICE

This 'made in Holland’ high quality slurry treatment system comes with a permanent distance performance monitoring, an one year guarantee and 2 optional service levels.

FOR NETHERLANDS BASED LIVESTOCK FARMERS ONLY

We guarantee that the entire nutrients volume will be bought (complying with KeurMest regulations) at local market prices if the livestock farmer has no use for it. Due to compliance with the current mia/Vamil subsidy regulation the livestock farmer will profit from a considerable one time tax reduction resulting from an additional object depreciation worth 36% of the invoiced value.
This integrated solution, existing of a bio-digester/CHP and a slurry treatment system, not only offers you a circular and eco friendly solution to your manure problem, you also benefit from a versatile savings and revenue model:

±85% savings on manure disposal/processing costs
